This person has several Philips flashguns P536GTCLS.
In the newer versions there have been made modifications by the
manufacturer. As a result those flashguns don't accept a slave unit,
unlike the older ones. As a matter of fact a mere 38µA is delivered for
synchronization purposes instead of the previous 380 µA.

In the attachment, this suggestion describes 
what has been altered, and how to cure it.
