Update: Aug. 2025 Demolition of the former
Flemington
Outlets have started.
All buildings
were removed.
Update: Jan 2023 A new mayor was elected after
a
1 year term by the old Flemington mayor.
June 2023: a chain link fence
was placed around
the old outlets and building are starting to be torn down.
P.S. Yes, the old train will still run through the area.
And I mean
run through the developement, not nearby.
A summer/fall schedule was already
posted.
Update: Dec 2021 - the area was declared a "renewal site",
it will be transformed to housing/first floor stores.
Update: March 2020.
According to the papers this place was
bought by a company back in Aug. 2019.
It was then sold to this other company, sight unseen.
The new owners are
now looking at what to do to this place.
A number of the buildings have "not
for human occupancy" on the doors.
So sorry to see this place this way.

I know many malls are having a problem...
Oops, we were up at The Crossings,
Tannersville, PA
On a weekday a couple of weeks later, lots of cars and shoppers.
A few weeks later we were at at new outlet in South Jersey, just off 295.
Every store was open and busy for a weekday.
Hummm ? ? ?
Why
is Flemington a ghost town ? ?

of Liberty Village are gone.
As of 2024, the Liberty Village Outlets
were sold and are being torn
down for condos and apartments.
Sept 2025...
all the buildings were demolished.
Apartments / Condos were built
These
will be added to the hundreds of apartments / Condos
added to the Raritan
Twp that surronds Flemington, NJ.
And yes, as of 2025 the single lane bridge to
the train tunnel,
that still runs in the old liberty village, is
still backing
up traffic. Expecially with all the
new neighbors.
